The Garden of Eden
Have anybody ever wondered, Where is The Garden of Eden located?
Here is a very good article by Dr. Meridith Miller.
The Garden of Eden was the place where Adam and Eve lived before their sin, which seems to have been the early name for a large land area, including Mesopotamia and also possibly the entire Fertile Crescent. The garden God planted was in the eastern part of this area (Gen. 2:8). The two most likely locations lie in the mountains of Armenia and at the head of the Persian Gulf. However, it needs to be understood, that no theory or belief of where the garden is actually located is without problems.
What are some of these theories or beliefs of a possible location of the Garden of Eden? One opinion is that the Garden of Eden in which the Bible locates the spot where the temptation and the fall took place was somewhere in the Tigris-Euphrates Valley, apparently in the eastern most third of the Fertile Crescent. Other scholars have placed the location of Eden just north of Babylon where the Euphrates and Tigris closely approach each other. Furthermore, there are those with the belief that Eden was near ancient Eridu, on the Persian Gulf. However, such locations are at this time impossible to prove or identify.
Other suggestions as to the possible place of where the Garden of Eden actually was include not only Babylonia (in Mesopotamia), Armenia (north of Mesopotamia), but also, an island in the Indian Ocean. The Bible in Genesis 2:10 states that four "riverheads" divided from the river that flowed out of the Garden of Eden (Gen. 2:10-14), which supports a place somewhere in Mesopotamia. There are those who believe that Pishon and Gihon two of the four rivers said to "flow out of Eden to water the garden" (Gen.2:10-14), are presently the rivers Indus and the Nile. So, what is being suggested is that Eden included the whole of the Fertile Crescent from India to Egypt.
Now, the location of the Garden of Eden is in part to be determined from the description already given in the Bible. As for an example, the Garden of Eden is said to be "eastward, in Eden" found in Genesis 2:8; where the vegetation was very luxurious (2:9) and the fig tree indigenous (3:7), and it was watered by irrigation. The garden was a place of all kinds of animals that were created by God, including cattle, beasts of the field and birds. (Gen. 2:19-20). Also, the climate was such that clothing was not needed to keep warm. It is of no surprise, that the plural of the word means "delights," and that Eden has been thought to mean the land of delights, and that the word became a synonym for Paradise. Therefore, the location of the Garden of Eden can be determined from the actual description already given in the Bible.
Eden must be where there is a climate adapted to the production of fruit trees and of animals capable of domestication, and in general to the existence of man in his primitive condition. In particular, its location is supposed to be determined by the statements about the rivers running through it and surrounding it. Columbus as he passed the mouth of the Orinoco believed that its waters came down from the Garden of Eden. It is fair to believe, that Columbus thought that he was at the east coast of Asia. The traditions of the Garden of Eden's location to be somewhere in Central Asia have been believed by many. Naturalists have, along with Quatrefages, believe that the portion of Central Asia stretching east from Pamir, often thought of as the top of the world, and from which flow four great rivers, the Indus, the Tarim, the Sur Daria (Jaxartes), and the Amu Daria (Oxus), is actually the original cradle of mankind. This conclusion has been arrived at from the fact that at the present time the three fundamental types of the races of the world are located around this particular area.
A man named Dr. William F. Warren has with prodigious studying tried to prove that the original Eden was actually at the North Pole. This theory is supported by the fact that in preglacial times a warm climate surrounded the North Pole in all the lands which have been explored. But as the latest discoveries have shown that there is no land or area within several hundred miles of the North Pole, this theory of Dr. Warren, if it is to even be considered as possibly true, will have to be modified so as to place Eden at a considerable distance from the actual pole.
The question has been asked amongst Bible scholars, has the Garden of Eden been located at last? Different individuals and late classical writers believed that the Garden of Eden could possibly be located in Mongolia, India, or Ethiopia. They based their theories upon the known antiquity of those areas, and on the idea that the mysterious Pison and Gihon were to be connected with those other two great rivers of the ancient world, which is the Nile and the Ganges rivers. Another popular area for the Garden of Eden had been in Turkey, because both the Tigris and the Euphrates rise in the mountains there, and because Mount Ararat is the place of where Noah's Ark came to rest at this location. In the past hundred years, since the discovery of ancient civilization in modern Iraq, scholars have leaned toward the Tigris-Euphrates Valley, and to the sites of southern Sumer, which is about 150 miles north of the present head of the Persian Gulf, in particular.
So, in conclusion, this has been a very interesting topic to research, in which I found various opinions on this subject, as to where was the Garden of Eden really located. However, the exact location of where the garden was placed by God, in my opinion has not been found, and never will be. However, looking to the Word of God, based on the description in Genesis 2:10-14, we can have a good idea of the possible location of the Garden of Eden. "And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads." And the fourth head or river is the great Euphrates which flows from East Central Turkey through Syria and Iraq, joining the Tigris to form the Shatt al Arab. Therefore, I conclude that the Garden of Eden must of been somewhere in the Middle East, perhaps surrounded by such countries as Turkey, Iraq, and Iran or somewhere in the Persian Gulf region.

The New Creation
Everybody see the new logo, new design!Recently completed and it has its meaningful meanings.
1. The Shield. The shield in the background represents the faith we are taught to practice, by the power of praying and believing. We walk by faith and not by sight everyday.
2. The Cross. The cross in the middle portrays Christ! Christ is our main source of faith. Jesus Christ is the revelation of God in the flesh. Jesus paid the 'fine' for us which we deserved for our wrongdoing and disobedience. We have to trust him, to start a new life.
3. The Flowers. It bloomed in our life after Christ died for us, the past is over, it is gone. God promised us a new lease of life and to prosper in his name and bloom like a flower to attract others.
4. ACT1:8 - "But you will receive power when the holy spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
We will be followers of Christ and share his love with his beloved people.
5. The Wings. Wings can be seen as the freedom we found in God.

#1 Bible Verse
It is difficult to make a list of the best Bible verses, because, in short, all bible verses are great and meaningful. Bible verses are a somewhat communication system between man and God. Some people will say a bible is like a guidance in life.
Soon Yew once said before, a bible verse will mean one thing now, and it can mean another in the future, it's a living bible.
I think all readers will know the all time famous bible verse, John 3:16.
John 3:16 says,
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (King James)
God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die. (Good News)
Even though there are many versions of the verse, the meaning of it will not change, forever.
The verse occurs in a narrative in the New Testament, third chapter of John, taking place in Jerusalem.
Nicodemus, a member of the ruling council, comes to talk with Jesus, whom he calls Rabbi. Jesus' miracles have convinced Nicodemus that Jesus is sent from God. In reply, Jesus declares, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again".
John 3:16 summarizes Jesus' lesson to Nicodemus: the belief in Jesus is the only path to eternal life.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

History Makers Kuala Lumpur is having steamboat dinner on Saturday night, in Sunway Mentari, approximately about 7pm till 10pm. There will be lotsa joy, lotsa fun, lotsa talking and laughing. All History Makers are invited for this event and we are expecting many many more friends to join us, as we can get to know them better and also take this marvellous opportunity to let them know our Lord Jesus Christ.
We want to make this a happy and fun dinner time where there will be many people joining us and great happenings around. Of course, this event is no different compared to any others as our moto remains the same, we would love to 'Touch Lives, Meet Needs & Win Souls' for Christ.

The 10 commandments
Harold and Jane was not a very religious couple but tried their best; they only went to church once a year.
As they were leaving the church, the minister said,
“Harold, it sure would be nice to see you and Jane here more than once a year”
“I know,” replied Harold,
“We're very busy people, leading active lives but at least we keep the Ten Commandments”
“That's great,” the minister said.
“I'm glad to hear that you keep the Commandments.”
“Yes, we sure do” Harold said proudly,
“Jane keeps six of them and I keep the other four”.
The 10 commandments is a guideline in our lives to ensure we are moving in the right direction everyday.
This is a gentle reminder of our sins and how many faults we have in a day, a week, a fortnight or even a year.
We should always turn to God, be bold and honest, ask him for forgiveness!
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

2010 is the year History Makers will progress further and advance to the next level.
Let's all cheer on and assist as much as we can in order for our dream to come true.
We will start our 1st cell group on the 9th of January 2010 in Sze Tat's place, Cheras at 6pm till 8pm. We would encourage more people and more friends to join us in 1 voice to sing praises and worship our Lord Jesus Christ.
Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.

The first Christmas Gift
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.

The magi went to great lengths to find Jesus, the newborn king, traveling a great distance to find him. Following the star, they eventually found Jesus. When they did, they worshipped Him, and gave him the first Christmas gifts: gold, incense and myrrh.

First, the magi were pagan astrologers, but they were moved to find the king of the Jews. And when they did, these astrologers bowed down and worshiped Jesus. It’s amazing that even at Jesus’ birth, we have an important picture painted for us that He would be the redeemer sent to everyone, not just a select few, and that our response to Jesus is that of worship.
Secondly, we see the magi presenting Jesus with precious gifts. Giving and receiving gifts are a favorite part of our Christmas celebrations today. Yet typically, we celebrate Christmas more for God’s gift of Jesus to us than as a time when we give gifts to Jesus. Maybe it’s time to change our priorities. We can give gifts to Jesus through our worship and through our commitment to follow Him.
As we celebrate Christmas this year, choose to give Jesus your life as a gift to Him.

It’s amazing that even at Jesus’ birth, we have an important picture painted for us that He would be the redeemer sent to everyone, not just a select few, and that our response to Jesus is that of worship.
Secondly, we see the magi presenting Jesus with precious gifts. Giving and receiving gifts are a favorite part of our Christmas celebrations today. Yet typically, we celebrate Christmas more for God’s gift of Jesus to us than as a time when we give gifts to Jesus. Maybe it’s time to change our priorities. We can give gifts to Jesus through our worship and through our commitment to follow Him.
As we celebrate Christmas this year, choose to give Jesus your life as a gift to Him.

Why is History Makers planning such an event?
I can assure all people who are seeing this blog, attending, thinking of attending, that this event will turn out to be a wonderful, marvelous event. We have to pray hard.
Our purpose of going to this orphanage is not just to have fun, play some games, make some friends, our objective is to touch one's life and that will be changed forever.
We will eat some food, do a bbq, play some games, clean the area, basically help the needy!
Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the first fruits of all your produce;
then your barns will be filled with plenty,
and your vats will be bursting with wine.

Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered.

"that's nothin" the 3rd kid says, "my dad writes some words down calls it a sermon, and it takes five guys to collect all the money!"

Condemn!

"How come her shirt so ugly 1.I bet she was blind when she bought it."
"How come his house got swimming pool .I bet his father smuggle stuff from Thailand"
Nowdays all of us condemnother people for either their weakness or something we
don't posses but they do.We get jealous.But did you know that even the Lord himself
the King of KINGS , the Almightyone do not condem us although we are are just human." For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.".John 3:17. So how come we human who are equal in the Lords eye condemming other people.Dont you know that the Lord do not care about your stuff,what you posses.He wants to see us loving each other as he already sent his message.Be happy and ask for not more from what you already posses and love the Lord your God.

Jesus HELP ME!
"Jesus help me" is a cry from your heart. You come to Jesus because He is the only one who can help you.
"Jesus help me. My life is difficult."
Do you have family, job or money worries? Have people hurt you? Do you suffer from health problems? Is there an emptiness in your life from the loss of a loved one?
Answer: Take all your problems to Jesus. Trust Him to help you. And Jesus Who loves you so much will be there for you.
"Jesus help me. My life is a mess."
There may be an addiction that is pulling you down. You may quit for a few days only to start again. You may feel like a failure and want to give up trying.
Answer: Know that Jesus does not count the number of times you fall down. He only counts the number of times you get up and return to Him. So ask Jesus to help you overcome your addiction. Jesus of Mercy will not fail to answer your cry for help. Pray the Serenity Prayer
"Jesus help me. I am hurting."
I am hurting because of a broken relationship. I can't seem to get past it.
Answer: God wants you to let go of your painful feelings. He wants you to find happiness in your life. Ask Jesus to heal you.
"Jesus help me. I am such a failure."
My life is a long list of failures: bad decisions, missed opportunities and wasted years. Things should have been so different, but there is no going back.
Answer: Don’t let the past pull you down. Jesus wants you to live in the present. Never mind what might have been. Ask Jesus to help you build a better life.
"Jesus help me. I have sinned."
So many times, I did not keep your commandments. Now one part of me says, "Ask Him to forgive your sins." Another part of me says, "It's too late. Your sins are too many."
Answer: Listen to the part that tells you to go to Jesus. It isn't too late. He has not given up on you. His Mercy is far greater than your sins.
"Jesus help me. I can't go on."
I am so depressed. Nobody cares what happens to me. Every day I struggle to survive. As hard as I try, my life doesn't get better. I can't go on...
Answer: When you feel helpless, think of Jesus. Carrying his cross, he was in great pain. Most of his friends had deserted him. People were shouting, "Crucify him." He felt He couldn't go on.
Our Lord suffered, and in every life there will be suffering. Ask Jesus for the strength to carry your cross, and He will help you.
Remember... the Lord always watches over you.
Jesus is your strength, so turn to Him. When things look darkest, out of love for Him, don't give up.
To Jesus, your life is an open book. He sees what weighs heavily on your heart and what pains you. He understands what you are going through.
When you have a problem, take it to Jesus. He is always ready to help you... if you want His help.
Many times we try to handle our problems all by ourselves... and it doesn't work. Whatever the problem, pray. Jesus answers prayers and He will answer yours.
He helps whenever you ask.
Jesus told us, "Come to me all you who are heavily burdened and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
Because Jesus loves you, He will always help you.
